This Privacy Policy explains how Seedow Studio SRL ("Seedow Studio", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the Flixpickr mobile application and the website at flixpickr.app (together, the "Service"). It also describes the rights available to you under the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA").
The data controller responsible for your personal data is Seedow Studio SRL, a limited liability company registered in Romania (EU), sole registration code (CUI) 45419603, Trade Register No. J40/22800/2021 (EUID ROONRC.J40/22800/2021), with its registered office in Bucharest, Romania.

We collect only the data needed to operate the Service and improve recommendations. For each category below we state the purpose and the legal basis under the GDPR.
Email address, display name, and profile photo, provided through Firebase Authentication using Google Sign-In or email/password.
Purpose: to create and secure your account and let you sign in.
Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Terms of Service).
Optional biography, favorite and excluded genres, and your region preference.
Purpose: to personalize your experience and tailor recommendations.
Legal basis: performance of contract and our legitimate interest in providing a relevant Service.
Your movie and TV ratings (like, dislike, love, watchlist).
Purpose: to generate personalized recommendations and your "Viewer DNA" personality type.
Legal basis: performance of contract; our legitimate interest in improving recommendation quality.
Movies you add and votes you cast within Groups and Shared Lists. This content is visible to the other members of the relevant group or list.
Purpose: to provide collaborative list and voting features.
Legal basis: performance of contract.
You may author "Collections" (curated lists). If you choose to publish a Collection publicly, it appears in a public discovery feed within the app and on public web pages at flixpickr.app, together with your display name and profile photo.
Purpose: to let you share curated content with the community.
Legal basis: performance of contract; consent through your decision to publish. You can unpublish or delete a Collection at any time (see Public Content below).
"Like" and "Love" reactions you apply to Collections.
Purpose: to enable community engagement and surface popular Collections.
Legal basis: performance of contract; legitimate interest.
If you opt in, we store a device push token to deliver notifications (for example, group matches and invites).
Purpose: to send notifications you have requested.
Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in your device or in-app settings.
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the Service is used through aggregated, event-based metrics.
Purpose: to diagnose problems, measure feature usage, and improve the Service.
Legal basis: your consent where required, and otherwise our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the Service. You can manage analytics consent in your settings where applicable.
We use anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you to improve recommendations and the Service. Because it is anonymized, it is not personal data.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the Service.
We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, and only as needed to operate the Service. We do not authorize them to use your data for their own purposes beyond what their terms permit.
Our infrastructure provider Firebase hosts data on Google infrastructure located in the United States. This means your personal data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred from the EU to the US, the transfer is governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) incorporated into Google's data-processing terms, together with supplementary safeguards. You may request more information about these safeguards at privacy@seedowstudio.com.
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account and associated data directly in the app, or by contacting privacy@seedowstudio.com. On deletion, we remove your personal data from our active systems; certain residual copies may persist for a limited period in backups and where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated data is not personal data and is not deleted as part of account deletion.
Collections you publish publicly — including their contents, your display name, and your profile photo — are visible to anyone using the app or visiting flixpickr.app, and may be cached or indexed by third parties such as search engines. Do not publish anything you do not want to be public. You can unpublish or delete a Collection at any time, but copies that others have already viewed, shared, or cached may remain outside our control.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise your California rights, contact privacy@seedowstudio.com.
The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over. It is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us personal data, contact privacy@seedowstudio.com and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
